:: OUTFIT HAUL!!!! ::

Now Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without hitting the shops on Boxing Day to indulge in the glory of the sales!!!

By now, I'm sure you are aware that I love me a bargain! ;)

On Boxing Day, I went to a shop I normally don't go to..... Outfit. Now for those of you who are not familiar with Outfit, it's basically a shop with shops inside. Kinda like a department store but It's a lot smaller and only has certain brands. These brands being: Topshop, Topman, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge, Wallis and Dorathy Perkins.

Check out these AMAZING deals I got!!!!

This Topshop slouch jumper was £38 reduced to £18! This is perfect with a Tu-tu style skirt and I just love the slash effect at the back(shown above), it's so comfy as well! (We have a little intruder in the top right lol)

This Miss Selfridge cardigan is super Kawaii!!!! I just love it! Was £38, I got it for £20!!!

This Topshop cardigan was £35, I got it for £18! What a bargain! I love the beautiful rose detail!

This Topshop sheer blouse Is sooo vintage it hurts!I absolutely love the lace detail and the price was EVEN better! £38 normally but I got it for £18!!!

Now it wouldn't be a typical 'me' haul without some funky tights! I love the nautical tattoo effect! At only £4 it would have been rude not to buy them he he.
Keeping with the nautical theme, I got this corsage(£7).... I don't know If you remember the sailor-esk play-suit I bought from Primark but I think this will look rocking with that!!!

Did you guys have fun at the sales???

A very KITTY Christmas to all!!!

Hey guys!
I had the BEST Christmas EVER this year!
It was the first time we had it at the flat rather than visiting other people. I have to say I was a bit scared cooking for the three of us(not to mention my sister is a strict vegetarian) but after a wee glass of bubbly (or 5 hehe!)I managed to chill out and just got on with it.....the dinner went down a treat! I was soooo chuffed!

All the presents I got were fantastic! (apart from the HUGE amount of chocolate I got from my mum, I've been trying to tell her for years that I hate the stuff but she never listens lol)

Check out the amount of Hello Kitty stuff I got!!!!

I got that sweet, pink Hello Kitty bag from my little sister, the Hello Kitty hot water bottle and make-up bag from my friend Susan and the mirror and plasters for my secret Santa at work!
I also got some more Hello Kitty from my pal Aeigh but I forgot to take it home with me.(Nothing to do with the bottles of vino we consumed hehe!)
How lucky am I????

Hope you guys had as good a Crimbo as I did!!

Merry Xmas to you all! ;)

:: Primark Haul!! ::

In these hard financial times, what's the modern fashionista to do??
As much as I love spending the cash I have to say my purse isn't happy!
Thank God for Primark! I took a wee trip today on my lunch break and here's what I went away with......

SDC11341 SDC11343

This cute nautical playsuit was a steal at only £11!!!!

This sheer beige blouse was only £8! I could see this tucked into high-waisted shorts, pearls and brooches for a vintage feel!

These grey floral tights are my fave buy of the day.....only 2 quid!!!

The beauty of Primark for me is (being so cheap) you can allow more money for really wacky, exciting accessories. I have some fab 6% Dokidoki and kawaiigoods.com items that would work fantastically with these pieces!!!

:: Crazy Colour Update::

Here's the outcome of the Crazy Colour (Capri Blue) after a few washes......

As you can see it's faded out quite a bit and I've only washed it 3 times.
Now I have to admit I actually prefer it now that it's more of a pastel blue and the fade could be due to the fact that my hair is heavily bleached.
It is very easy to apply yourself at home and I have to say that it still had a very even result (even when it started to fade).
I do like this product but once I have reviewed more I can give a better comparison for you guys.

:: Crazy Colour ::

How many of you out there get bored with your hair?
Ever felt like going crazy with it?

I LOVE mad hair colours and (like so many times) I get bored with my hair..... tonight was one of those nights! ;)
With so many different brands out there it's difficult to choose which to buy, this has led my to the conclusion that what you guys might appreciate are a few reviews..... I'm going to start with Crazy Colours tonight!
This is my hair at the moment.......

I'm not going to go too wild and do the whole of my head, so I've just sectioned off a small panel at the front under my fringe. I'm going to use Capri Blue.

The instructions are clear enough on the bottle. You just apply to dry, clean hair and leave for 10-15 mins.(I left mine for 20mins just to make sure it had maximum grip on my hair)
I'd recommend using gloves if possible as it my stain!
My hair is currently bleach blonde, if you have darker hair and want as close a colour as you can to the actual colour, it's best to pre-lighten it.
Please DO NOT pre-lighten it yourself!!! Bleach is an unpredictable product as can easily damage your hair beyond repair, I'd advise going to a hairdresser. (Trust me I've had clients who have done this and the only way to fix it is to cut a lot of it off!!)

Here's how the colour turned out! (Sorry about the picture quality, I'll be getting my camera back tomorrow so I'll post another tomorrow.This was taken on my webcam )

IMG0002 IMG0001

The instructions don't say how long the colour will last. I was my hair everyday so I'll see how long and let you guys know.
If you'd like to know more about Crazy Colours and/or want to buy, they are around £4 per bottle. You can order online at their website: www.renbow.co.uk

:: RTBU Shoe Review ::

Hey guys!
You may have remembered I had  an earlier post regarding my shoe order from eBay shop Refuse To Be Usual... They have arrived!

14122010113 14122010116 14122010114 14122010115

They arrived securely packaged and in fantastic condition!
Now personally I'm a 'flats' girl and am on my feet all day(being a hairdresser) so comfort is a MAJOR factor for me.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these shoes are!! Not to mention the beautiful pearl strap, bows on the back and lovely heart with gold flower detail!
They have discreet push buttons underneath for easy on/off and adjustable straps!

I also have to mention how brilliant Nicky was to deal with as a seller!

Monday, 6 December 2010

Hey guys!
I thought I'd share another hair transformation that I did.
Now as a hairdresser, I really shouldn't be divulging this as most stylists want you back in their salon every 6 weeks for colour. ;)
This particular colour technique is great If you want to spruce up your current hair colour without so many trips back for maintenance.
Here's Fiona before we started.......

And Fiona after.....

What I did here was bleached up a panel underneath and then used Fudge Cherry Bomb.
The reason this colour is cheaper to maintain is mostly to do with the placement of the panel. As long as its not too close to the hairline (around the face) or too close to the parting, It's actually really difficult to see the regrowth!
I myself had a similar panel in my hair and I could go 2 months without re-colouring it! (See below)
As for that vibrant red, all stylists know that they fade really quicky! So what I've done with Fiona Is briefed her on how to apply the red and as part of the cost I include the rest of the bottle of colour so she can top up at home in between visits!

Me with a similar colour panel but a long hair style. :)

Are you a slave to brands???

I've recently been having an ongoing debate over Facebook with a few Lolitas over clothing brands.

Basically, a Facebook retailer has created an online event to find out who would be interested in replica Lolita dresses and this was a comment on the page which caught my eye.....

"I hate these replicas, I think people should stop buying these. I have no idea why i was invited. It's 100% against all i love."

This comment made my blood boil.
Now, what she was referring to was a replica of an Angelic Pretty dress and I LOVE that brand but to be honest I could never afford to buy one.
I have talked online to a lot of Lolitas (this trend has not quite hit the Scottish Highlands) most of which were lovely! However, there seems to be a few suffering from 'brand snobbery'..... almost stating that If you don't buy these brands your not In the 'gang'.

I'd love to know what your thoughts! Are brand names important to you?

Aberdeen Shenanaigans!

Hey guys!!
What a fab weekend I've had, hope you guys had fun too!
Although, It didn't start out as promising ......

My sister Katie and I had planned to go through to Aberdeen on Friday so I could treat her to a night out and get her her prom dress! Everything had been booked and I even managed to move my clients so that I could finish a bit earlier on the Friday to make sure that we got the train on time from Inverness.

Friday morning came and I woke up to this......

Now this might not look bad but If there's snow in Inverness It's guaranteed to be rubbish everywhere else! Haha!
So I was panicking that we were not going to make it through and with the hotel and train tickets already paid for it was too late to get a refund!
However, we managed as the trains where running but some of the roads were closed.

Once we got to Aberdeen, my Friend Lisa met us off the train and after checking in etc it was time to get the glad-rags on and hit the town for a girlie night out! :D

Me & Lisa

Lisa, Katie & Me

The gang....although I'm not sure who the girl in the stripy dress is, Haha!

The next morning I took Katie shopping! Where we met a very familiar face......

We got her this beautiful dress which was very vintage looking!!! (I'll post pictures soon it's TO DIE for trust me!)
We also came across this funky Japanese shop called Na-Na. They sell clothes, accessories and also have a Hime nail bar!!!! We didn't have enough time to get our nails done (Is it sad that I'm planing my next trip through just to get my nails done?lol) but we did get matching Kawaii Necklaces......

Cute or what!?!
